Katie and Scott’s dusty rose wedding in California was truly a dream come true!

Last September in the midst of shutdowns and restrictions, Katie and Scott tied the knot in Scott’s parents’ backyard surrounded only by their immediate family. They were forced to postpone their big celebration, but they decided COVID couldn’t stop them from getting married. And we were honored to capture that beautiful ceremony for them (check it out here!).

What a joy it was for us to return to that beautiful backyard to capture the wedding day they had originally planned!

When we arrived on Saturday morning, we asked Katie how she was feeling now that the big day was finally here. She said that even though she and Scott were already married, it didn’t dim her excitement for the day. In fact, she said that the nerves before their ceremony in the fall were now replaced by joy and anticipation! She and Scott were just so ready to celebrate with everyone they loved so much.

When the two had their intimate ceremony in September, Katie didn’t wear the wedding gown she had picked out because she wanted to save that for this day. But her stunning Bella Bridal Couture gown wasn’t the only surprise in store…

Unique Floral Designs showed up in a BIG way for this bride. Katie loves peonies, but she never said anything about them in their floral consultation because she knew they were one of the most expensive flowers you can buy. Not only was she blown away to find a few fluffy stems in her bouquet, but she was stunned to find them sprinkled throughout all the floral design for the day. From the incredible floral ceremony arch, to the centerpieces, you could find peonies elevating each and every detail!

This beautiful day would not have been possible without an amazing coordination team. It’s always a joy to work with Lindsey Antioho Events! Lindsey and her crew took this beautiful private residence and turned it into a luxury wedding venue for the day. They ensured this day went without a hitch from the minute Katie arrived for hair and makeup, to the sparkler send-off at the end of the night.

Katie and Scott, we know the wait was hard, but it was SO worth it. Your dream wedding day was exactly that—an absolute dream! It was such an honor to be a part of not only your intimate ceremony, but also this big celebration. Both were so special and so beautiful in their own ways. We hope you two enjoyed every minute of your honeymoon, and we can’t wait to meet your new furry family member!
