Natchez Trace Engagement

One of our favorite things about our business is that we get to meet and work with couples who truly become friends. But something that’s extremely special is when we have friends who ask us to do their photos. It’s always such an honor! 

Alyssa and I met while running track in college, and after being a bridesmaid in our wedding 6 years ago, I am grateful to still call her one of my dearest friends! I remember senior year when she told me about this guy, Wes, she met over summer. They were always texting and I could tell she had feelings for him, even if at first she wouldn’t admit it 😉 

Well sure enough, the two of them started dating after we graduated, and then a little while later we got to finally meet the mysterious Wes at a friend’s wedding. After dancing the night away together, I remember Beau turning to me and saying, “they’re perfect for each other.” So you can imagine our excitement when they got engaged this fall! 

With the two of them living in Boston, we knew it would be challenging to find a time for their engagement session. We were thrilled when Alyssa asked if they could fly down to visit us and do their engagement session this month! 

We found a few beautiful spots throughout Natchez Trace Parkway. And even though it was around 35 degrees the whole time, these two were champs and you can’t even tell how cold they were in their photos! They looked amazing in their fall outfits. But our favorite part? Their matching Red Sox hats! They just had to bring a little bit of Boston to Nashville, and we loved it.

Alyssa and Wes, we absolutely cannot wait for your wedding day next summer. Not only are we looking forward to celebrating the two of you and the day you have both patiently waited and prayed for, but we are also so honored you have entrusted us to capture it. Thanks for making the trip down south to see us, and we hope you love your engagement photos as much as we do!
