Downtown Franklin and Harlinsdale Engagement

Downtown Franklin holds so many memories for Nicole and Zach through their dating years, so they just knew they had to do their engagement session there to celebrate how far they’ve come together. And then, as the cherry on top, they decided to do the second half of their session down the road at Harlinsdale Farm! We were so excited for this session because not only is it so fun to shoot in such unique historic locations, but we knew it was going to be a blast hanging out with these two.

Nicole and Zach met each other while working their first jobs over 9 years ago! Three things we have really noticed about the two of them is that they are thoughtful, intentional, and so caring. This engagement season is a really special time that they have been waiting and planning for. And now they are counting down the days until they finally get to say “I do” in front of their loved ones at Allenbrooke Farms next spring!

When Nicole and Zach arrived for their session looking so dapper and classy in their first outfits, they shared with us that they were a little nervous to have their photos taken. We hear this a lot from our couples at the start of their engagement sessions. Most couples have never had professional photos taken together before they’re engaged, so it’s natural to be nervous! 

This is one reason we love the engagement session. It breaks the ice and gives our couples the opportunity to get comfortable in front of our cameras before their wedding day. We assured Nicole and Zach that we would coach them through every step of the way, and that all they needed to do was sit back, relax, and enjoy the time together. And sure enough, at the end of their session, they shared with us that it was so much easier and more fun than they ever expected! Now they will be ready to go on May 11^th 🙂 

After exploring all the adorable spots around downtown Franklin, we popped down the road to Harlinsdale Farm for the second half of their session. The sun was setting behind the historic white barn on the property, creating the most gorgeous light for this sweet couple. Nicole made the cutest sign with their wedding date and brought a blanket with other cute props to include in their photos. We LOVE a bride who thinks of all the details!
