California Ranch Wedding with Southern Charm

Last week, Beau and I packed up all our camera gear and jumped on a flight from Nashville to capture Jessie and Grant’s beautiful California ranch wedding day!

When we first met with Jessie and Grant, they told us they would be getting married on Jessie’s parent’s property. The morning of their wedding, we had no idea what we were in for. As we followed our Google Maps instructions down a dirt road through the Camarillo farm lands, we turned a corner into an avocado ranch. Then we saw it. A beautiful southern home up on a hill overlooking the property.

Jessie told us that when her family moved to California from Georgia, her parents knew they needed to bring lots of southern charm into their new home. And they definitely did! If we hadn’t been surrounded by avocado trees, we may have thought we’d been transported back to Tennessee!

Jessie is one of the most joyful brides we have ever had the pleasure of working with. She had the biggest smile on her face through every part of the day, and couldn’t contain her excitement to marry her best friend. Her joy shone brightest when she and Grant exchanged rings, said “I do,” and celebrated their first few moments as husband and wife!

It was a pleasure working alongside Andrea and Jess De Santis, capturing all the special moments and beautiful details of the day, such as the amazing florals by Petals and Hare. But we must say our favorite detail of all was the most adorable dessert table created with the help of Mobil Sweet Shoppe and Sweet Art Bake Shop!

Congratulations, Jessie and Grant! It was an truly a pleasure to travel out to California to celebrate your beautiful day with you. Your joy is genuine and contagious! It was an honor to capture your memories 🙂
