Elegant Summer Wedding at Lake Sherwood

This summer, we had the privilege of photographing Elli and Gordon’s elegant wedding at Lake Sherwood Country Club.

Kina Grannis’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” softly played as Elli and her father turned the corner and began their walk down the aisle. As the reality hit him that he was about to give away his little girl, the tears began to flow. Elli’s dad shed the first of many happy tears during a beautiful ceremony. When it was time for Elli and Gordon to exchange their personal vows they had written, they could barely speak through their tears. They traded off turns reading their heartfelt promises to each other so they could take a breath and dry their eyes. It was one of the most heartfelt ceremonies we have had the honor of capturing!

Beautiful details, stunning summery florals, a gorgeous venue, the most perfect light all day…Elli and Gordon’s wedding was the recipe of perfection! But the best of it all was witnessing this amazing couple tie the knot.

One of our absolute favorite moments was during the reception. After dinner and toasts, Elli and Gordon did a second grand entrance wearing hanboks, traditional Korean wedding garments, to honor Elli’s family. This was such a fun personal touch to their day!

This beautiful day would not have been possible without the work of Agnes and her amazing team. This was our first time working with A Fabulous Soirée and we hope we get the opportunity to again! Thanks to their expert planning and coordination throughout the day, everything went so smoothly, giving Elli and Gordon the chance to soak up all the special moments, and allowing us to capture all of Gather Floral Co.’s amazing summery designs and details, as well as all the beauty at Lake Sherwood Country Club.
