Emerald and Gold Wedgewood Wedding

We are so excited to finally share Lindsay and John’s beautiful emerald and gold Wedgewood wedding with you!

You know the saying, “Good things come to those who wait”? I can’t think of a couple that fits better than Lindsay and John. They had to postpone their wedding for a full year due to COVID restrictions. But that only made their day that much sweeter and more beautiful when it arrived.

Planning a wedding is not an easy feat. Imagine planning your wedding 3 times before it finally happens! That’s what Lindsay and John had to do. But their perseverance was SO worth it!

Lindsay put a lot of time and care into the details for the day, including working with her bridal party to make their bouquets and all the other floral décor. All the flowers for the wedding were handmade and incorporated flowers made from the pages of books. Such a beautiful and unique personal touch to their wedding day!

But the personal touches did not stop there. After Lindsay’s first look with her dad (the cutest moment ever, by the way!), we brought her to the top of the windmill to see her groom for their first look. But this was not an ordinary first look…you see, Lindsay and John wrote personal vows for each other. But instead of sharing them at the altar in front of all their guests, they decided to share them privately during these first few minutes together on their wedding day. So sweet and special!

The coordination team at the Carlsbad Windmill by Wedgewood Weddings did a fantastic job making sure the day went smoothly for Lindsay, John, and their all their guests. And we had the best time working side-by-side with Ryan Films for the first time!

Our favorite part of the day was definitely getting to whisk the couple away from all their friends and family for a few moments alone to capture their husband and wife portraits. The sun was setting behind the windmill on the venue property, and Lindsay and John were able to bask in the glow of the sunset as they savored their first moments as a married couple.

Lindsay and John, we are so happy you found us on Instagram and picked us to be a part of your day. We hope you look through your wedding photos and remember all you two did to make this day a reality. It was worth it!! Congratulations 🙂
