Growing up, I remember dreaming about who my future husband would be and wondering if I had already seen him without knowing it. Was he living right down the street? Did we go to the same school or church? Have we passed by each other in a store without realizing it?
For Katie and Scott, this was actually the case! These two grew up in the same community, and then they even landed jobs at the same company. But somehow they had never met each other! It wasn’t until she found him on Bumble that they finally met and.…and the rest is (almost) history!
After a year of dating and winning her heart, Scott got down on one knee and asked Katie to be his wife right in the very spot where they will be saying “I do” later this year—his parent’s backyard. How special to have once place that holds so much significance and so many memories!
As you know, one of our favorite parts of the wedding experience is the opportunity to meet with each of our couples over coffee to get to know them and hear their love story. We also get to talk about their dreams for their wedding day, and find out how we can come alongside them and support them as they prepare for marriage. But unfortunately with social distancing orders in place at the time of their engagement, we had to meet with Katie and Scott virtually, which as I’m sure you know, just isn’t the same. So we were especially excited for their engagement session just to have an opportunity to hang out with these two in-person!
And as you can tell by their photos, it was worth the wait! We had a blast capturing their love and their excitement as they soak up these last few months before their wedding day.
Katie and Scott, it was a joy to finally meet you two in-person and capture how perfect you are together. We are already counting down the days until your wedding because we know it is going to amazing! We hope you both love these photos as much as we do…which is A LOT! Can’t wait to hang out with you both again soon 🙂
