Santa Monica Mountains Engagement

It was 5am and Alex was hurrying Kristin out the door. As she grabbed her coffee she thought, “Why are we in such a rush?” The pair was in Phoenix for a concert that weekend, and Alex had expressed a desperate need to go to the Grand Canyon and catch the sunrise.

After the two of them made it there, he found the perfect spot, right on the edge of the canyon (so close that one more step and they would have slipped right off the edge!). It was there that he got down on one knee and asked Kristin to marry him. Then they got to watch the sunrise over the canyon as fiancé’s!

Right from the minute our session started, we could tell that Kristin and Alex are best friends. It was so easy to capture the moments of them laughing and snuggling together, as if the camera wasn’t even there.

As we grabbed photos, they told us about their upcoming wedding that will be hosted at Kristin’s dad’s house. It is going to be so personal and intimate. They didn’t want a long engagement because they are just ready to be married, but Kristin’s dad wanted a little more time to make everything perfect for the big day. Classic father of the bride!

But being two very easy-going personalities, these two don’t seem stressed or concerned about the details at all. They are just enjoying this season of engagement. Which in our opinion is how it should be!

Kristin and Alex, we are so excited for you guys as you prepare for one of the most important days of your lives. The Lord is going to use your marriage for His glory, and we can’t wait to see what He has in store for you! Thank you for letting us capture the memories of this special season. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
